Today was a day I really could have (and would have) used a shoulder to cry on. Thank you, World, for not allowing me such a crutch. I’m sure, in some mysterious and indescribable way, I’m a better man for being alone. And I’m sure that, years down the road when the sun shines for a day on my life, I will look back upon today as a turning point or a genesis. Because, after all, that’s the sort of irrational and idiotic faith in the nature of nature that we’re taught as small, irrational and idiotic children to adopt, and who am I to disagree? Nobody, that’s who. Nobody.
Of all things tired thy lips look weariest,
Save the long smile that they are wearied of.
NP: silence, finally
have you ever considered livejournal? you’d get more comments. lol.

Our comments are qualitatively better. HA. Inside joke. Sort of. More of an outside joke, but on a long enough timeline, all jokes become inside.
BTW, do you guys know anyone that works for a think tank? That was my career-of-the-day yesterday (I WANT TO BE A “SENIOR FELLOW”)and I’ve been looking around on the internet, but you need to be in school for all of the internships and I don’t have the experience to go straight into it. Meh, hopefully this idea will fade away by tonight.

Glad to see someone else lurks here. hey. do you know where i can get some gluten free vegan cookies? just around the corner? i remember walking by a think tank in some big city and saying ‘thats the most god aweful building i’ve ever seen’—‘how is anyone able to think there?’ unfortunately, i don’t recall where. and it might have been a dream. i’m having a hard time seperating dreams from reality lately.

You know, if you guys keep this up, I might have to start counting the comments on my other hand. And then how will I type?
The guy on Good Eats keeps singing the praises of gluten, and every time he mentions it I end up cursing him under my breath as I imagine Stephenhero keeling over unconscious. Trader Joe’s has carbo-free cookies, but they’re loaded with gluten, I’m sure.
One of my old professors is a “senior fellow” at the Brookings Institution, but I dropped out of grad school, so I don’t exactly have a lot of pull with him. I also know somebody who knows somebody at some conservative think tank, but I refuse to encourage anyone to go that route. And the Heritage Foundation building here in DC is pretty hideous…

I know somebody who runs his very own institute, even gets paid for it.
He has a nicer house than I have.
One more till you need to jump hands…..
